Immanuel Lutheran Communities' Rehabilitation Center Design Earns National Award
Immanuel Lutheran Communities’ new rehabilitation center recently was honored with a Long-Term Living Magazine Design Environments for Aging Award. Immanuel received an honorable mention for the center, designed by AG Architecture, that the magazine called a “thoughtful solution” as a first step in its new master plan “to reinvent long-term care on this campus.” It noted, “The new building combines cutting-edge practices in both rehabilitation and person-centered care to create an extraordinary facility – a real architectural experience amidst the breathtaking backdrop of Glacier National Park. Voluminous spaces and finishes inspired by the natural surroundings blend both a residential and hospitality appeal that make this cottage and therapy center the antithesis of the typical rehab facility.”
“We’re delighted our rehab center design has been recognized for its innovative approach, since our goal from the beginning was to create a unique experience combining the most advanced technologies in a retreat-like setting with a hospitality focus,” says Director of Rehabilitation Glen Sargent.
