The Immanuel Lecture Series: Heart Health
As a Cardiac Care Coordinator at Rocky Mountain Heart and Lung, Renae Solum, R.N. sees patients with all kinds of heart problems. Some of these problems are easily treatable and even preventable if they’re discovered early, so awareness of risk factors and symptoms is critical for your ongoing health. In this presentation, Renae will provide an overview of some common forms of heart disease, discuss risk factors and treatments, and help you learn what you can do to maintain and improve your cardiac health.
During her thirty-seven-year nursing career, Renae has worked in many areas of medical practice, from the surgical floor to the cardiac catheterization lab. She loves to share the considerable knowledge she’s gained over the course of her career and to help increase wellness in the community.
Chef Andrew Nelson, Food and Beverage Director for Immanuel Lutheran Communities, will prepare heart-healthy snacks for you to enjoy during Renae’s presentation.
