Open House for Amanda Ritzer, Nursing Administrator of Immanuel Skilled Care Center
Amanda Ritzer has joined Immanuel Lutheran Communities as the nursing administrator. She will lead the nursing department at Immanuel Skilled Care Center and the Retreat at Buffalo Hill. “Amanda brings many relevant proficiencies as a local nurse clinical leader with experience in skilled nursing / transitional care and home care.” states Josh Brown, Administrator of Immanuel Skilled Care Center and The Retreat at Buffalo Hill. “In addition, she most recently held the position of nursing supervisor at Kalispell Regional Healthcare for 3 Primary Care Clinics and collaborated with 24 physician providers.”
Before stepping into her role at KRH about a year ago, Amanda was a care navigator with KRH which was a CMS Innovation Program in the pilot phase to reduce hospital readmissions. Amanda was very involved in the process development of the program itself.
Prior to moving to Montana with her family, Amanda was the assistant director of nursing at an 80 bed skilled nursing and long term care facility that had a transitional care unit with high acuity wound care and management of conditions. After 8 months in the position Amanda helped the facility improve from a 1 star to a 3 star CMS rating and they received the American Health Care Association’s Bronze Award for Quality. She focused on the culture of the staff to improve customer service as well as clinical outcomes. Amanda is a very strong clinical nurse with regard to wound care and hands on nursing, and she is a leader who knows how to create systems and processes. She is highly effective at leading and developing a team as well as coaching, delegating and empowering.
