Immanuel Lutheran Communities recently launched a new, online educational course for certified nursing assistant training.  The program provides the opportunity for students to pursue an online education to become a CNA on a flexible schedule and allows them to complete it within 30 days shortening the typical timeline of classroom-based learning.  The program valued at $612, includes the hands-on clinical testing required for certification.

Immanuel Lutheran Communities offers this program as a paid benefit to employees; therefore, there is no cost to the student as long as they are employed for one year beyond certification.  Students may accept positions ahead of the training as Personal Care Attendants (PCA), a non-certified assistant position, several weeks prior to taking the course to begin earning and to become familiar with the type of work a CNA performs.  This course is made possible by donors to the Immanuel Foundation, including a generous grant from the BNSF Railway Foundation.
