Medicaid and Senior Living in Montana | Jason Cronk on KGEZ

On June 30, 2025, Jason Cronk, President and CEO of Immanuel Living, joined John Hendricks and Robin Mitchell on the Good Morning Show. The discussion centered on Medicaid and senior living in Montana with a focus on Medicaid program shortfalls, funding gaps, assisted living and more.

As a Life Plan Community in Kalispell, Montana, Immanuel Living offers insights and real-world experience on how Medicaid intersects with aging, care transitions, and community values; we frequently support residents and families navigating Medicaid and senior living in Montana.

The Growing Need for Assisted Living in Montana: Addressing the Gaps

Furthermore, Jason highlighted the increasing demand for assisted living in Montana. Many communities face challenges due to limited resources and Medicaid gaps. As a result, seniors may not receive the services they need when they need them most.

To address this, Jason called for improved Medicaid support and strategic investment in long-term care services.

About Immanuel Living

Additionally, Immanuel Living is a nonprofit Life Plan Community in Kalispell, Montana, where adults 55+ can thrive with independence, connection, and peace of mind. From The Lofts, our newest independent living neighborhood, to The Lodge for memory support, we offer a full continuum of care designed to meet changing needs over time.

Through both our model and our mission, we’re working to fill the gaps in Montana’s senior living landscape.

Filling the Gaps with Purpose: The Role of the Immanuel Living Foundation

To help address these challenges, Immanuel Living actively supports residents through the Immanuel Living Foundation. This nonprofit arm provides financial assistance for those who outlive their resources and need help covering essential living costs.

In many cases, Medicaid alone doesn’t fully meet the needs of Montana’s seniors. Through the Foundation, we help bridge that gap—ensuring residents continue to receive support, connection, and dignity throughout their later years.

Immanuel Living at Home: Supporting Independent Montanans

Beyond our on-campus community, Immanuel Living at Home extends our mission into the broader Flathead Valley. Through this in-home program, we help Montanans remain independent in the comfort of their current homes.

Whether it involves errands, companionship, or wellness-focused assistance, our services are thoughtfully designed to fill in the gaps, promoting independence, safety, and connection at every stage of life.
