Memories Matter: Why We Walk to End Alzheimer’s
Our memories are part of what makes us who we are. They hold the people we love, the milestones we’ve celebrated, and the experiences that have shaped our lives.
At Immanuel Living, this cause is especially close to our hearts. Through our memory support neighborhoods, we have the privilege of walking alongside individuals experiencing memory loss and the families who love them. Our approach honors each resident’s unique life story while creating opportunities for connection, purpose, and meaningful moments.
This is why we walk.
We walk for our residents. We walk for their families and caregivers. We walk for the stories and memories that have shaped their lives, and with hope for a future without Alzheimer’s.
The facts are difficult, but important:
- “More than 7 million Americans are living with Alzheimer’s.”
- “Alzheimer’s kills more than breast cancer and prostate cancer combined.”
- “Nearly 13 million Americans provide unpaid care for people living with Alzheimer’s or other dementias.”
- “One in three older adults dies with Alzheimer’s or another dementia.”

However, we have hope and determination because Alzheimer’s research is advancing faster than ever.
Every step and every donation can make a difference. We hope you’ll walk with us.
