Immanuel Living’s Newest Expansion: The Lofts at Buffalo Hill
Kalispell, MT – May 30, 2025 — Under sunny skies and with gold shovels in hand, Immanuel Living celebrated a major milestone: the ceremonial groundbreaking of The Lofts at Buffalo Hill. This 39-residence expansion strengthens the community’s independent senior living offerings in Kalispell.
Furthermore, these highly anticipated and fully reserved residences, brought future residents, staff, board members, and community partners together for a joyful celebration. Additionally, we held this event on the north lawn of Immanuel Living’s campus- the future location of The Lofts.
Located in Northwest Montana, The Lofts will provide new options for independent living, serving older adults seeking maintenance-free, community-connected lifestyles.
To mark the occasion, President and CEO Jason Cronk, Director of Sales & Marketing Ashley Strods, and Board Chair John Erfle who welcomed guests with remarks ahead of the ceremonial shovel-turning.
During her remarks, Ashley Strods reflected on the moment, “This project is not only a physical expansion of our community but it’s a celebration of the vision, trust, and connection we share with each of you. Enthusiasm surrounding The Lofts speaks volumes about the value Immanuel Living brings to Kalispell and to the lives of older adults who call this valley home.”
Anticipating Construction
Jason Cronk followed Ashley, adding, “Starting construction is always exciting! And it’s especially meaningful when it’s a direct response to the needs of a community we care deeply about. Markedly, what we’re building here isn’t just bricks and mortar- it’s connection, security, opportunity and a sense of belonging. Accordingly, The Lofts began as an idea in the spring of 2021.”
Jason continued, “Now, four years later, our dream has become reality and all 39 homes are reserved before construction has even begun. Markedly, we find ourselves in a position where we simply cannot build fast enough as the demand for senior living continues.”
Also, beyond new residences, our project features a pedestrian skybridge, expanded employee parking, and the future Wild Thyme Café. Furthermore, Swank Enterprises, our construction partner, will employ over 40 workers at the project’s peak.
After the ceremony, guests gathered in the Immanuel Living auditorium for a reception. Mimosas, fruit charcuterie, and pastries were served as attendees enjoyed toasts and an up-close look at architectural renderings of the community’s future.
Looking ahead, The Lofts at Buffalo Hill are scheduled for completion in 2027. They represent Immanuel Living’s ongoing commitment to offering purpose-driven, community-focused senior living in Northwest Montana.
